The headline this week is Table Read: add your own voice key and hear a scene read back to you, a distinct voice per character, on web, Mac, and iPad. Plus share-by-link from any device, a Library you can actually organise, clearer plans, and the editor now recovers your work after a crash.

• AITable Read — out of beta and open to every tier. Cast a voice to each character from a voice catalog and hear a scene read aloud, on web, Mac, and any iPad. It runs on your own ElevenLabs voice key, so there is no extra charge to press play.

• FixedCrash recovery — if the editor goes down, reopen and Arqo restores where you were instead of losing the session.
• FixedSign-in fixed — social login broke for some accounts when a cookie keyed off the wrong domain, and single sign-on from Green Room now round-trips cleanly. There is a proper error page instead of a dead end when auth fails.

Every Final Draft file now round-trips losslessly without you turning anything on. You can drag a script straight onto your desk to import it, Arqo for Mac filled in the last of its workspace, and the iOS editor got another deep pass at typing comfort.

• ImprovedLossless Final Draft is now the default for everyone — the conformance-tested round-trip we shipped last month graduated from opt-in to on-by-default. Locked scene numbers, A-pages, and title-page fields survive the trip without a setting to flip.
• NewDrag to import — drop an FDX, Fountain, or document file straight onto your desk on web or Mac and Arqo imports it in place, no upload dialog.
• ImprovedArqo for Mac filled in the rest of its workspace — Threads, Coverage, Receipts, Research, Versions, Story Memory, Pinned Notes, and your cross-project Library are now full inline surfaces, and the Mac dashboard matches the web section for section.
• MobileAnother pass at iOS typing comfort — the editor scroll was rebuilt on native text APIs and the old per-keystroke solver is gone, so the caret holds its place when you change an element type or the keyboard appears. Typewriter mode keeps your active line centred.
• NewProduction reports export to PDF — hand a producer the character breakdown, scene list, and continuity flags as one clean file.
• NewBuild scenes from your beat board — turn a beat straight into an INT/EXT scene with a guided tour, and iOS now carries all the same beat-sheet templates as the web.
• FixedFormatting stays formatting — bold, italics, and coloured revision text no longer leak as raw code into Reading Mode, shared read-only links, or PDF exports.
• ImprovedTheming got consistent across surfaces — changing your accent keeps your base theme instead of snapping back, the active line follows your accent colour, and a dark-mode contrast sweep cleaned up hard-to-read text on the auth and editor screens.

Two ways to get your existing material into Arqo this week: connect Notion or Google Drive and pull it straight in, or paste any draft and let Arqo structure it into a screenplay. Plus a People feed, a free FDX checker, and the biggest iOS typing-comfort fix yet.

A craft-and-trust week. Revisions get the colored marks and asterisks the industry expects, Final Draft files round-trip across our whole test corpus, and you can now prove exactly what you wrote versus what AI touched.

The Mac app went from a fast native shell to a full studio. Every surface you know from the web is now on Mac, plus a set of craft tools that only exist on the desktop.

A week after iOS shipped, we went back through every screen and rebuilt it to feel like a real iOS app — native sheets, gestures, haptics, and an editor that gets out of your way.

• MobileEvery iOS surface was rebuilt on a native foundation kit — bottom sheets, segmented controls, large titles, swipe actions, pull-to-refresh, and haptics throughout. The app finally feels like it belongs on the phone.

This week's release is dominated by the iOS app reaching feature parity with the web: a full screenplay editor, Character and Locations hubs, Sprint mode, Find & Replace, and the complete Inspire experience. On the web, FDX exports now preserve header, footer, and watermark data through a round-trip, and a string of password-reset failures have been fixed.

• MobileThe iOS app now has a full screenplay editor matching the web — Courier 16pt paper card, undo across element changes, Find & Replace, inline rewrite from the selection menu, on-screen page count with page-break hairlines, and a long-press type picker for changing element kinds.
• MobileInspire is fully live on iOS: the Shape radar, daily prompt card, drill flow, streak tracking, and the paywall sheet for AI-scored sessions are all available from the Inspire tab.
• MobileCharacter Hub and Locations Hub are now on iOS — browse your per-script cast roster with editable bios, and see every INT/EXT location with day/night breakdown.
• MobileSprint mode is on iOS: set a word goal, start the writing timer, and track your session from within the editor.
• MobileiPad hardware-keyboard shortcuts now work (⌘⇧N, ⌘W, ⌘[, ⌘⇧Z), and the app passes a full accessibility audit — Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, 44pt hit targets, and Reduce Motion support are all in.
• MobileJust-in-time coaching toasts now appear when the app quietly applies a formatting rule you might not have noticed (auto-caps on sluglines, lowercase on parentheticals, and similar). Spell-check is also suppressed on sluglines, character cues, transitions, and parentheticals so it stops fighting screenplay convention.
• ImprovedFDX exports now carry header, footer, page layout, and watermark data through a full round-trip — what Final Draft stored in those fields comes back out intact when you re-import.
• FixedPassword reset was broken for a number of users — links landed on the wrong page, tokens were consumed before the app could read them, and already-signed-in accounts hit a dead end. All of these are resolved; the reset flow now works reliably from any email client.
• AIThe daily Inspire writing prompt is now generated fresh each day on the web as well as iOS — open Inspire and a new prompt is waiting above your Shape radar.
