    New entry every Friday

    We ship weekly

A new release every Friday — no exceptions. This is the running record of what's new, what improved, and what got fixed. No launch announcements, no feature hype. Just what changed and why it matters to your script.

    1. Story Memory, PDF import, and a new hero

      May 8, 2026

Arqo now remembers your script — characters, beats, and voice — and uses it when you ask for a suggestion. Drop a PDF and we'll turn it into a real screenplay. The marketing site got a moving editor in the hero.

      • AIStory Memory — Arqo indexes your script as you write and pulls the right beats, character voice, and prior scenes into every AI Suggest, Character Voice, and Inspire request. No retraining, no copy-paste context.
      • AI"What Arqo consulted" pane — every AI response shows the exact lines from your script it leaned on. If it pulled the wrong beat, you can see why.
      • NewPDF import — drop a script PDF (typed or scanned) and we'll parse it into Arqo's editor with scenes, characters, dialogue, and action intact. Preview the parse before committing. Vision fallback for tricky pages.
      • NewSide-by-side version diff with one-click restore — compare any two points in your script's history without leaving the editor.
      • NewRight-rail stats panel — live page count, word count, and dialogue distribution per character while you write.
      • ImprovedVoice notes now use Whisper instead of the browser's transcription — accurate dictation in any browser, including Safari.
      • ImprovedEditor focus mode polished — chrome auto-hides, typewriter mode keeps the active line centred, one keyboard shortcut to toggle.
      • ImprovedNew marketing hero — the editor types itself in front of you. Six-card "Overpowered" grid replaces the old pillars. Mobile chrome cleaned up.
      • FixedFountain round-trip now preserves sections and synopses — your outline survives the export.
    2. Pricing live, the Path opens, brand refresh

      May 1, 2026

First public pricing day. Daily writing practice ships, the editor gets a quieter dark mode, and the brand-trust pages get a writer-first rewrite.

      • NewPricing — Free forever, Pro at $9.99/mo for unlimited scripts and full FDX round-trip, Team coming soon. Cancel any time, full export on demand.
      • NewThe Path — daily writing drills with streaks, streak-freeze for missed days, and a multi-track picker. Lives at /inspire on web and mobile.
      • NewTime Machine — scrub through point-in-time versions of your script and restore any moment.
      • NewSprint timer, writing goals, and typewriter mode — keep the active line centred while you draft.
      • NewBeat-sheet templates (Save the Cat, Hero’s Journey, three-act) and an inline research panel for fact-checks without leaving the script.
      • ImprovedWriter-first rewrite of /, /pricing, /manifesto, /values, /trust, /data-policy, /press, /download, /switch-from-writerduet — every page now has its own meta and OG card.
      • FixedMulti-line copy and paste in the editor finally behaves the way you’d expect — across scenes, characters, and dialogue blocks.
    3. Desktop, FDX round-trip, Schedule + Merge tools

      April 24, 2026

First Friday since public beta. Native desktop apps go live, Final Draft round-trip lands, and two standalone production tools — Schedule and Merge — ship at /app/schedule and /app/merge.

      • NewNative desktop app for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows. Grab the installer at /download — opens in under a second, works offline.
      • NewFDX round-trip with Final Draft 12 — import a .fdx, write, export it back without format drift. Locked scene numbers and A/B insertion survive the trip.
      • NewStripboard solver at /app/schedule — drop a Final Draft file, set a shoot window, get a shooting order that cuts cast hold days and company moves.
      • NewStandalone FDX merge tool at /app/merge — resolve conflicts between two writers’ versions of the same script, scene by scene.
      • NewFriends — live presence, ask cursors, and sprint rooms so you can write together without leaving the script.
      • NewProduction reports — character mentions, scene breakdown, dialogue distribution, location list, and continuity flags. One-click from the script dashboard.
      • NewBrand-trust pages live: /manifesto, /values, /data-policy, /press, /trust. The four vows, the no-list, and a deletion certificate emailed when you delete a script.
