Who to contact about copyright on Arqo, what a valid notice needs, and what happens after you send one.
Arqo has designated the following agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement. These details are on file with the United States Copyright Office.
Please use this contact only for copyright matters. Support questions, billing, and anything else sent here will be slower to answer, not faster.
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), a notice must be in writing and include all of the following:
The fastest route is our takedown form, which collects each of these and files directly into the review queue. You can also email the agent above. We review reports within two business days.
A notice missing any of the six elements above may not be effective, and we may come back to you for the missing part before we can act.
If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notification to the agent above. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3) it must include:
We forward valid counter-notifications to the original complainant. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we restore the material within 10 to 14 business days of receiving your counter-notification.
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. A valid takedown notice about material you uploaded or linked is a strike, we tell you when you receive one, and three strikes closes the account permanently. A strike is removed on a successful counter-notice or if the claimant withdraws. The full policy is section 5 of our Terms of Service.
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please be sure before you file.
Arqo's script catalog indexes screenplays published elsewhere on the internet, and opening one fetches it from that source. We do not claim rights in those works. When a takedown is valid we remove the catalog row, which hides it for every user immediately and drops it from the nightly source health check.
