Refund Policy

14-day no-questions-asked refund on all paid plans. Cancel any time. Your scripts export on demand — nothing held hostage.

1. The 14-day refund window

We’ll refund any paid Arqo subscription, no questions asked, if you request it within 14 days of the original purchase or the most recent renewal.

This applies to both monthly and annual plans, on Pro and Team tiers, whether you used the AI features or not.

2. After 14 days

Monthly plans: we don’t pro-rate partial-month refunds after the 14-day window. You can cancel any time and you’ll keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Annual plans: we don’t refund unused months after the 14-day window unless required by your local consumer protection law (see Section 4). You keep access for the full year you paid for.

3. How to request a refund

Email billing@tryarqo.com from the email address on the account, with the subject line “Refund request” and the transaction ID from your Paddle receipt.

We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle (our merchant of record) and arrive on your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

You can also request a refund directly from your Paddle customer portal, linked from your billing dashboard.

4. Statutory rights (UK and EU)

If you’re in the UK or EU, the Consumer Contracts Regulations and Consumer Rights Directive give you a 14-day cooling-off period on digital subscriptions. Our 14-day window matches that — but the statutory right is yours regardless of what we say here.

By starting your subscription, you may have agreed to begin receiving the service immediately. If you exercise your cooling-off right after starting, we may charge for the usage you’ve already had (e.g., AI quota consumed).

5. What we don't refund

We will not refund:

  • Subscriptions where the account has been terminated for a material breach of our Terms of Service (fraud, abuse, repeated chargebacks)
  • Renewals you forgot to cancel, more than 14 days after the renewal charge — but we will always cancel future renewals when you ask
  • Changes in your circumstances (you stopped writing, you switched apps) outside the 14-day window

6. Chargebacks

Please email us before filing a chargeback. We’ll almost always issue a refund faster than the chargeback process can complete, and chargebacks come with bank fees we have to absorb.

Accounts that initiate a chargeback without first contacting us may be suspended pending resolution.

7. Your work, regardless

Refund or no, your scripts stay yours. You can export them to FDX, PDF, or Fountain at any time — even after a refund or cancellation, as long as your account exists.

If you delete your account, we delete your scripts within 30 days. Export first.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes get at least 30 days’ notice via email. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Any change applies only to subscriptions started or renewed after the effective date.
